Here's a basic recipe for making homemade toothpaste:
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons of baking soda
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
10 drops of peppermint essential oil (or other flavor of your choice)
Optional: a pinch of salt for added abrasiveness and/or a small amount of stevia or xylitol for sweetness
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine the baking soda and coconut oil. Mix them together until a smooth paste is formed.
Add the peppermint essential oil (or other flavoring) to the mixture and stir well to distribute it evenly.
If desired, add a pinch of salt for additional abrasiveness and a small amount of stevia or xylitol for sweetness. Mix everything thoroughly.
Transfer the toothpaste to a small container with a tight-fitting lid.
To use the toothpaste, simply apply a pea-sized amount onto your toothbrush and brush your teeth as usual. Remember that homemade toothpaste may have a different texture and taste compared to commercial toothpaste. Additionally, consult with your dentist regarding any specific dental concerns or conditions you may have.
